I am in denial

Rebecca is getting old beyond her years.
For instance, the following

#1 She asked for her own cell phone
Over the weekend I was explaining what she should do if ever we get separated out in public or she gets lost.
I explained how she should find a policeman. If she can't find a policeman, find a mommy with kids and tell her that she lost her mommy & ask her to call a policeman.
We practiced telling the policeman her name, her mommy & daddy's name and where we live. I explained that with this info the police could find us and our phone #s.

She then says "Wait, Mommy, I'm not done. Instead... you could give me my own phone. And you could put your phone number in it." And the grand finale: "And it would just be for emergencies"

Aren't I supposed to have another decade before I have the "your own phone" convo?

#2
The very next day after the phone convo
"I think when I am five I am going to ask for a TV in my room. I think when I am five that would be good."
Yeah, when you're five it'll still be a no. Nice try, though.

Tonight
Rebecca wrote my grocery list for me.
I helped with the spelling of a few things but she wrote it all herself.
Granted, it was all in mirror image, but STILL!

I am in denial.
